Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are the titular character of Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. In contrast to common portrayals, Mr. Hyde is an alternate persona that Dr. Jekyll adopts to indulge his darker impulses, rather than a split personality.
