Oswald the lucky rabbit is a black rabbit with mostly white face exept for the top of his head, the black fur above his eyes often is used as "brows" for his expressions, he wears white shorts, that in "poor papa" have a strap going over his left shoulder, he has long large ears connecting to his circular head witch sits on his pear shaped body, his eyes are two ovals his nose is a slightly bigger oval set shorter below them and his mouth is a simly drawn line
in the early titlecard as well as in a shot "oh! teacher!" he has two wiskers on both sides of his head

It was believed oswald entered public domain in 1956 because of lack of records showing universal whom owned the rights to him renewing the copyrights to his debute, despite that rumor the public decided to wait out till 2023 to fully accept him as a public domain propety and use him as such
