Winnie-the-Pooh is an anthropomorphic teddy bear character created by A. A. Milne that first appeared in poetry book When We Were Very Young in 1924 under the name Edward Bear, before being changed to Winnie-the-Pooh in the book Winnie-the-Pooh.
